3 Songs That Help When You Have to Give Up

I am really bad at knowing when to stop.
Maybe it’s my USMC training. Marines didn’t “retreat” at the devastating Chosin Reservoir, it was a “tactical withdrawal.”
Are we jarheads just too stupid to know when to quit? Maybe.
Or maybe it’s actually smart to remove the stigma from “quitting” and see the it for the inevitability it really is.
“Never quit” is terrible advice.
It leads to
- injuries in sports.
- people staying in toxic relationships.
- wasted money & resourcese (“sunk cost fallacy.”)
- being frightened of asking for help.
It sucks.
How about instead we work on the idea of “enough”?
Recognizing the reality that everything is finite, and that’s a good thing?
