I had a similar surprising boost—though not in the five-figure range, I was comfortably back in three, and due to neglect it had been a while. I wish more writers were honest about that bit of advice: you have no control when you write on other platforms. The Algorithm giveth, and the Algorithm taketh away, and your tears of joy or woe matter not because the Algorithm has no feelings… I confess, my only disappointment is that so far the article that YOU inspired me to write (a rebuttal of sorts about your “trashy tattoos” piece) is not performing as well as I hoped. But in the end, since there is no control, I guess the important thing is to just keep writing…
