I would love to hear any thoughts you might have about how to do that when there’s ADHD involved. No one can just give up dopamine any more than they can give up air; for neurotypical people, it’s my understanding that they can get a healthy source of it from that kind of beautiful practice of craft over years.
But with adhd that reinforcement doesn’t come, and so the craft feels dead (no joy in the act) and so we switch to the next thing.
How do we get past that and enjoy the benefits of a solid practice when the usual habit forming advice doesn’t work?
(I may have found my own next series of articles in this question…)
