One Question From My 2-Minute Journal Taught Me a Word I Really Need

What am I going to let go of?

That question always hits me hard. I like to pretend I’m a minimalist (perhaps “minimalesque” would be a better way to put it) so theoretically I should have already let go of everything that wasn’t totally necessary (or “sparked joy”).

But I still had about a hundred seconds left in my 2-minute journaling habit, and I didn’t want to skip this particular one.

I reframed the question: “What have you been struggling with lately?”

Framed that way, it was easy.

Currently my home is in a liminal state — we’re getting ready to move over the next few weeks, and it means there’s a lot of boxes and things that are unavailable.
