Maybe we’re all just too tired.
Wave after wave of COVID, politics, national catastrophes, fires, the Great Resignation, supply chain problems — it may be any one of these things, maybe a combination, but I’m seeing fewer “Here’s the 17 habits you have to start if you don’t want to be a total loser” headlines this year. I think maybe we’re all kind of aware that we need to give ourselves a bit more compassion, a bit more slack this year.
And yet…the urge is still there. My friend mentions he’s got more energy since he gave up sugar. Maybe I should try that. I get a “free online planner” invite. Maybe this one is better than the one I used last year. I get a thank you from the EFF for my monthly donation. You know, I could try to learn coding again.
